  1. Basically it's someone who has excellent recall of anything they've seen. You can look it up online and find more information about it, how common or uncommon it is, and ways to improve your own memory. ☺

  2. Some people are good in remembering the scene as if a snap shot was taken, and frozen in their minds.

I am not good at photographic memory. Ask me how I do a specific thing in the computer, and I say ' Hold  on' and go on and turn on the computer and as I do it, I explain  it on the phone.

My husband has good photographic memory. Ask him the same question, he will visualize it in his brain and tell you, for example : 'at the left side of the computer, at the bottom, you will see a flag... click it....then comes the menu and you choose the second...' .....this sort of thing.

  3. Like, when you suddenly look at something especially with pictures, then later, you will still remember how it looks like or other info about it. Example, you're playing a memory game with pics, You saw a picture that is the same then, you would easily recall what you saw.

  4. A camera photographs an image which is there for the life of the photo.

A photographic memory does the same - it captures words, images, people and everything else and stores it in the brain.

Bill Clinton would be able to read a lengthy speech once. At some time in the future he would be able to stand up & deliver that same speech faultlessly - without the need for notes or papers before him.

    Best wishes. UK

  5. Photographic memory is just that a type picture in your mind that you can access without losing any of the details. For some people this means the ability to read something and recall not only the information but the pictures, charts, and even page number of where the information is located in a book. For others this ability includes a feature that allows them to see pictures and a map of a town they do not live in and when they get there they can find the spots they viewed without using the pictures or maps.

Picture it this way every book, newspaper, magazine, video, television program, or anything else you view converting into picture perfect pages and inserted into a file that you carry around in your brain. You think about something and a picture pops up with all the details and information that you need to make a decision, remember a name, get to a place you are going, or find a way to get out of quick. It's actually awesome.
