  6. They believe that only wearing satin is the only way to salvation. no denim, cotton, wool, nor polyester fabrics are allowed.

  7. you would think that they worship Satan, but that's not true. the only ppl who do that are confused posers, rebellious teenagers, and ppl fronting just to spite christianity.

    example: Christianity says having s*x before marriage is bad and that you will go to h**l. Since Satanists don't believe in h**l, they say "**** it, i do what i want"

    the only reason it's called "satanism" is b/c it glorifies what Christianity calls "sins"-  but it actually has nothing to do with satan worship. pretty much the opposite of Christianity: christianity wants you to resist human desires while  Satanism wants you to be as human as possible.

  11. They believe that satan is not satan like the devil most people first think of but it instead represents in life a sort of indulgence. "Sins" are not sins they are virtues. The church is evil because it encourages hypocracy, abstinance(from any pleasure) and loss of individuality. There are different kinds of satanists, those who are kinda like atheists and those who are into diabolatry(worship of an actual devil). There arent many of the second one(not many ive met at least). If you have one life to live why not indulge in every pleasure handed to you? Instead of fear what may or may not be in the afterlife.

    Edit: I hope anyone who has anything bad to say about satanism do your research first because I do mine. Thats just plain ignorance and discrimination... seriously.

  13. Well, they believe their mighty power is Satan, and that everything in this world is allowed.  So as far as orgies, drugs, anything and everything that society believes and has etiquette standards for they go against it.  They also have the black bible

Read the first half of the Satanic Bible (it's by Anton LaVey).  The first half defines what Satanists believe and their ideals.  The second half was written by LaVey as a shock factor- as a way to get people's attention.   Think of him as a pre-curser to Howard Stern, but with something poignant to say.  He did not actually practice most of the hokey rituals outlined there-in, although a number of dimwitted hippies did, and "posers" still do.  Much like the audience of Jonathan Swift, the message was lost on them.

    After reading The Satanic Bible, I pose this question as an answer:

    How are the ideals set forth in the Satanic Bible any different from those of the American capitolist ideas and ethics used by big buisness?

    Hint: They're not!

    And for all those Christians who automatically claim to hate Satanists- why would you not read the Satanic Bible to better know, and thus fight, your "enemy"?

    You're using the words 'Believing' with 'Worshiping' interchangeably.

    Seeing as most of you are Christian, you all BELIEVE in "Satan" as well. Satanists believe in "God" too, however they worship "Satan" (some, not all).

    Yeah, but I guess someone who professes to worship the foulness in life, has a hard time being a part of the group who claims to own all of the good in the world, and it is his or her way of saying "#?!&*^ You"

    I dunno though that's just my guess.  Maybe if you read the Satanic Bible by Anton Levey, that may provide more of the answer that you are looking for.

    I think you meant Satanists. However, all of the poor unenlightened people who answered this by saying they simply are evil && worship the devil are wrong. Satanists believe that you should do whatever you want to obtain pleasure as long as no one is harmed in the process.

    Ex. Where Christians think that s*x is generally bad, Satanist think it is wonderful, && where Christians think that you should not immerse your self in excess, Satanists lead a life of indulgence.
