  2. Ironically, these four people got the idea of forming the Teletubbies because of their real names, and their affinity for watching TV on each others' stomachs.

    Their real names are as follows:

    Tinky "Winky" Alexander

    "Dispy" Shirly MacIntyre

    Lisa Ann (Laa-Laa) Blankenship

    Scotty "Po" MacIntyre

    As you can tell from watching them, Dispy and Scotty are married.  Tinky was a truck driver before signing on with a lengthy contract with the BBC, and Scotty was on the work-release program from Her Majesties' Court Reform Prison when he got the job on a casting call for a 'midget children's actor'.  He's been loyal to their cause ever since.
