What goes on in college parties?

I'm just wondering. Where does it leave me, if i'm a Christian guy who is a virgin, and doesn't believe in premarital s*x, and I personally chose not to drink, smoke, or do drugs. Are there college parties that drink soda or virgin drinks, and just have fun. Watch movies, or play fooze ball and stuff sing christian music and just have a good time?

i'm wondering if college parties are bad for a Christian guy. What goes on there? I can't dance and I don't like hip hop and rap music. Anyways what goes on in the parties, should I avoid them like the plauge?

Er well then you should pretty much avoid all of the parties because they don't play christian songs at college PARTIES LOL. You can go to those worship get together thingy. You can also check out those anime people's parties. I think they sit around and play video games and watch movies or whatever.

But being in college is all about new experience. Where is the fun if you are doing the same thing as you did in high school.

all except sing christian music. thats not a party, thats a worship service. but yea, there are college parties like that and i respect u 4 sticking true to your religion. im a christian too and i applaud you.

btw, as long as YOU dont drink or smoke or do drugs or have s*x or anything like that at the party, its okay 2 go. u dont have 2 do what every1 else does.

Every college party is different. You can tell pretty much right away which ones are which--you have the chill ones where people are hanging out, talking, mingling...then you have the ragers where there are tons of sweaty people dancing and making out. At both types there WILL be drinking.

At no party will you find people singing Christian music (wow, people do that?)

I would suggest finding friends who share your values. Join a Christian club--there must be some--because otherwise you might feel out of place, since the majority of college students do drink and/or have s*x.

i cant think any that do that kind of stuff. college about letting loose and getting wild cuz your finally away from your parents. im guessing that somewhere there are other people that share your views/interests. all you have to do is look.

Many college parties consist of the thing you are morally against. You can still go to them and not do those things but it will take a lot of willpower to say no to peer pressure. What I would suggest doing is joining the college's Christian club, there you will probably meet people your same age and with your beliefs.

uhhhhh dude u can still be a christian and have fun - ur like limiting urself for like non fun stuff that isnt even sinning -  the bible never said that smoking or drinking is a sin as long as it dosent cause others to stumble

go to a party and see for yourself if you have the willpower it shouldn't be a problem. and i know of no college party's that have only soda... but go to a party and if you feel uncomfortable leave after a few minutes.

Class of 2010

Well there are many parties in colleges that you should avoid, although as I hear... there are some that are okay. Without the drugs, underage drinking, and loud banging music. It wont be like a everday party, nor week probably. Although I wouldn't rule them out, I'm sure there are some out there. ( Oh yeah I use to wonder the same thing as you... )

You should avoid them if you are all the things you say you are.  Join a Christian group and do things with the members of the Christian group.

What goes on there: mostly dancing to really loud music and drinking alcohol...and probably some premarital s*x.
