One day when I was about to use my computer, i turned on the power switch and suddenly there were very strange sound coming the CPU, it goes "teeet...teeeet"

By the way, when i change to another CPU of mine with a similar monitor and wiring, the sound also exist, but i am quite sure the computer with another monior and wiring won't give out the sound.

Then after a few attempts i am able to turn it on again, but in the middle of startup when my msn is just about to come out, the computer went off.

Not long later, my computer doesn't work completely, no matter how many times i try.

But after a few weeks of not using my computer but my laptop, i am able to turn it on again, two days from the day, which is today, it isn't working again. Any idea why and how to solve it?

The computer probably is on, but my monitor shows its going to sleep. Problem with VGA?

Thanks in advance, if you need anymore clarifications, state it in your answers, and leave your email, i will message you.

  1. First thing that comes to mind is overheating. Try starting the computer in safe mode (http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.s...

If this doesn't work, there's something wrong with your hardware, probably overheating. If it works, you might have driver compatibility issues. It's happened to me before. If this is the case, you should re-download all your drivers in safe mode.

  2. It's hard to tell from your description.  The best thing to do is take it to a qualified technician and have them take a look at it.  Just a guess--could it have gotten a virus?

  3. Guess your RAM is being overloaded. Try cleaning the motherboard and check the system. That should probably work. Replace the RAM and try it out.

  4. Best guess is that you power supply is fried...
