What happens to mirrors?

If you throw a mirror away, where does it go? ie, landfills; retrieved for recycling, etc.

(How is it disposed of?)

If you throw it away it's going to end up in the landfill obviously, it's up to YOU to put it in your recycling bin or take it to your drop off for recycling which ever you do in your community.  Mirrors are glass, so they are able to be recycled if YOU dispose of it properly.

If you throw it away, chances are it will just end up in the landfill like everything else that is thrown away.

Total amount of mirrors in the trash is small enough that it probably does not matter much unless the silvering is a bad material.

glass used for bottles that we recycle is different from mirror glass, it cannot be recycled in the normal glass stream.

If you throw it away you will have severn years bad luck as it languished in a landfill!

Glass takes approximately 1000 years to biodegrade if disposed to landfill.

I'm not gonna suggest reuse - potential injury from sharp edges outweighs any ideas.
