  1. No. It just gets rusty, nothing really happends.


  2. That would be the definition of "boil" it would have to be pretty hot, 2861 °C, 5182 °F.

    If you just put ,say, a nail in a pot of boiling water nothing will happen to it, but at the boiling point of iron, it will turn into a gas.

  3. it depends. if you boil iron in water or any other water based liquid then of course the heat generated won't be enough to breakdown the iron in anyway. It's just going to get hot. But if you boil iron in melted steel the iron will melt as well lol.
