  1. Demoracy was invented by the ancient Greeks. It lasted about 50 years before those with money realised that they were loosing out.

Then it was changed. DO YOUR HISTORY.

(Today) There's is no such thing as demoracy, just variable forms of Tyrany.

  2. The UK is not a democracy, never has been and never can be whilst it has unelected people in the House of Lords.

UK citizens were not given a chance to vote as the Irish were and that is undemocratic.  I voted against joining the EU and I think there should be another referendum to determine whether a majority of UK citizens want to stay in the EU.

It is clear that the EU is not a democratic entity because it is doing exactly was Robert Mugabe is doing.  They didn't like the result of the vote and are trying ways to rig things in their favour.  That means the EU "government" is as corrupt as Mugabe's government.  Do we really want to be a part of that, or should we demand a referendum?  The next, only chance we will have  of divorcing ourselves from the corrupt EU is to vote for UKIP at the next general election.  They have just one MP at present and so UKIP will get air time.  BTW - I am not a member of any political party, but I will be voting for UKIP in the next election.

  3. No, we are not. Its just showboating by embarrassed Governments of various European Nations, trying not to look like they,ve got eggs on their faces.

  4. We are not going to be walked on, we are being walked on, even though the EU said the vote had to be unanimous, the ratification will still go ahead.

We are talking about the EU here,  they don't know the meaning of the word 'no' or 'democracy.'

  5. This is the EU that you are talking about, and when was that disreputable organisation ever Democratic???

  6. As a relative newbie around here, I find myself asking a more pertinent question:

How come there are so many anti-European agents provocateurs on Yahoo Answers whose avatars look more or less identical, despite the fact that they have different user names?

  7. Democracy is ailing need to be helped by the masses,   Were I able I would love to go back to Ireland and help but I am not

  8. I agree with Stevie!I agree with the questioner! The ordinary person counts for nothing with this deceitful Labour Government!

  9. doesnt exist - never has. There are higher powers we dont know of who control this all

  10. Democracy is ideal that was never reached and calling a government a democracy only hinders the ideal.
