  2. Depends on what school of thought you are from and what theory you believe.  Personally, I think we were descendant of Homo erectus.  Looking the facial features and brain size, its clear to me how Homo sapien evolved from that species.  However, there is new research that suggests we could have descended from Neanderthals (actually, this has been widely debated for a long time but there is new evidence that suggests this could be true).

  3. I descended from "mom" and "dad."

  4. Based on what my anthro professors have said, the current belief is that Homo habilis was the first in the Homo line and that Homo sapiens came from Homo heidelbergensis.  However, that is always subject to change as more information is discovered about the Homo line.

  5. do not believe the evolutionary propoganda,..tolerate this,..eve is the mother of all living,..all the different parts of the chain of the 'evolutionary' ladder, at least the portion where the ape morphed into a manlike creature up through current 'homosapien' man, could not all the manlike creatures have just been current man of different races wiped out in the flood of noah's day,..but i know it is easier to manipulate people with 5 million years of theoretical history than saying the earth is actually between 6000 and 14000 years old, give or take a couple thousand years,..it is quite entertaining to watch 'educated' people believe in a theory that has not, will not, can not and is not,..it is like the old saying, you tell a lie long enough people will believe it,..look what hitler did in just a few years to one nation,..from here i will search for climate change questions,..cyclical i would say,..oh, i like to say the 'dinosaurs' are actually dragons, way more cool, but will effect the fantasy novelist capitalist agenda as well,..interesting circle of events,..

  6. Before Homo sapiens was probably heidelbergesis.  Some add extra species but it is likely that ergaster gave rise to heidelbergesis.  Before ergaster was either rudolfensis or habilis or something closely related.  Africanus before that, and Afarensis.  It is pretty speculative before heidelbergensis if any particular fossil is a human ancestor.  I wouldn't bet the farm that any particular fossil of the heidelbegensis are actual human ancestors.  They may just be closely related to a human ancestor.  They look very much like neandethals and seem to be closely related.

  7. Possibly, all of them but one.  Here's a quick explaination:

  8. You must bear in mind that the overlapping timeframes of many hominids could allow for some measure of crossbreeding, and so seeking a simplified and direct lineage is a big ask.

There is strong evidence of Australian Aboriginees living alongside an earlier hominid some 50-60 thousand years ago. Some ex African migrations would have stronger or weaker links to earlier forms than others, either through geographical or bilogical isolation, cultural compatibilities, environmental stimuli, chance and many other reasons..

Although all people are considered as homo sapiens sapiens today, there are often clear physical differences related to geographical location, and if given enough time and isolation [unlikely], speciation wouldn't be far away, yet from an allegedly common ancestor..
