  1. Humans were created by God in His image separate from all the other animals on earth. Evolution from one form of creature into a totally different type has never been observed to happen....it's a false assumption based on the premise of naturalism.

  2. Why don't they allow thumbs down for crappy questions?

  3. If we hadn't we'd still be beating on rocks & living in caves - not typing answers on a high tech informational doo-dad.

  4. If you follow creationist theory, they haven't.

  5. If we hadn't taken our opportunity, or had become extinct earlier (Like during the Toba volcanic eruption 74,000 years ago), then another species likely would fill the available niche, to become the dominant creature on earth, such as sharks, who dominate the oceans!

  6. if we hadn't evolved then we wouldn't be humans....

  7. If humans hadn't evolved, I'd be looking for a really hot caveman with a very nice cave. : )

  8. The definition of evolution is basically changes overtime.

Humans did not come from apes. However, apes and humans came from a common ancestor, which is why we have similar traits. Humans came to existence because we must have gotten certain traits from their mutations, which leaded the way to a new generation of species, from our ancestors. Then over time, through natural selection, the human species population grew when we were able to adapt to the environment. Each species comes with variations, which is the key to survival for any species because it allows some to survive when natural disasters do wipe out their population. The ones that survive are the successful ones who can pass on their genes to future generations.

  9. Humans didn't evolve. God created humans. If humans evolved from monkeys, why are monkeys staying the same and not evolving anymore. Everything god gave us serves a perpose, like eyebrows to protect your eyes from sweat.

  10. Then we would have not branched from the common ancestor.

Evolution, though, is just the change in allele frequency over time in a population of organisms. I think you meant; : if the common ancestor had not been subject to the proper mutation, selection pressure and natural selection stemming from this, then what?

  11. I suspect that minus the extremely successful and deadly technology of humans, many more species of hominins would exist.  One would likely eventually occupy the our niche and evolve into a deadly hunter and eventually take our place of dominance.

  12. there would be no cadburys!

  13. How do you know we did?

  14. What if the earth did not rotate on its axis?

What if our solar system had not formed?

    What is 2 plus 2 equaled 5.67391?

What if we, at least, tried to ask reasonably intelligent questions?

  15. Many of the animals that depend on us, such as rats and deer would probably have lower numbers.  All of the genetically engineered (artificially evolved) organisms such as cows and pigs, would not exist.  The world's climate would be continuing on the same post-Wisconsinan warming trend many tie to our atmospheric emissions, though it would likely be less dramatic. Many of the world's ecosystems would be greatly altered. And bacteria would remain the dominant class of organism on earth - just as they are today.

It is possible, though seemingly unlikely, that another organism would evolve our particular version of intelligence (i.e. extreme lack of humility, obsession with technology, lack of interest in understanding non-human intelligence), but since this complex of traits has not yet proven itself in the evolutionary time scale, I am very uncertain whether it would last.

(and no I am not kidding about this).
