What inspires you to write?

I consider myself a writer.... the way I express myself is through writing but the past few years have been a bit of a struggle for me and I find no inspiration at all to continue... What inspires you?

I have books filled with poetry and stories and quotes written by me... but I pretend they aren't there.

i write something i'm feeling in a basic sentence, and change and grow off of it until i have something.

what inspires me would be my past and my future i day dream a lot about what i want my in me future and then i look back in my past to see what went on and how i got where i an now i think its kind of weird but that works for me and its easy to look back to my younger years since I'm like 15 but any one can do it because your looking within your self so no one can judge you which is great because it you.

What inspires me to write POETRY are the analytical yet poetic explinations I form, or think up, either on my own, or by obtaining ideas by reading poetry.

What inspires me to write, IMAINGATION. Mines always there.

My inspiration is the beauty of poetry itself, How words can  paint beautiful pictures, bring back some forgotten memories, feelings! Everyday life incidents, laughter, sorrow, the hopes, dreams, love!  I guess I would have to say just life in general!

It inspires me, when I read other poetry from other people, this inspires me! They were inspired and now so am  I! It is contagious in a wonderful way!

Why not post some of your poetry store stories and quotes!  Inspire us, and maybe you will see that yours will return! I personally would love to see some of the Poetry and the rest you have written!!  Cheers!!

Well, I belive that a person writes for themselves - no one else.  If they choose to share it, more power to them.  I am also a writer and I am going through a similar phase.  What I suggest you do is force yourself to read your old writings and admire yourself. Whether it's for the mistakes the wittiness or just because you got words down on paper.  Then if you're not feeling particularly emotional, just try to harness one single emotion, no matter what it is.  Now WRITE!  Even if you are telling yourself you can't you actually probably can. Just do it!
