What is it, some games have it, and what is exclusive DLC?

DLC is down-loadable content...meaning like for example, when Call of Duty 4 came out, the publishers of the game released DLC for the game, which was the map pack, including 4 new maps. Some games have it because it depends on the developers/publishers of the game. It also depends on the popularity of the game. if the game is popular but the developers/publishers never planned for DLC, they might just do it later.

Exclusive DLC is when DLC is available to the game on a specific platform. For example, Microsoft payed ALOT to get some exclusive DLC for Grand Theft Auto 4. So when those DLC comes out, it will only be available to the Xbox 360 version of the game. Not for the PS3 version. Though the PS3 version might also get DLC but not sure if it will be exclusive or not.

dowloadable content you can go into the playstation store on your playstation 3 sytem and go into disc baased downloads and find alot of "dlc" there for instance the domination pack for haze which gives three new levels and a new feature for multi-player

Downloadable content.

It's stuff you download later that adds things to the game. It usually costs money, but doesn't always. It could be anything from extra multiplayer maps (COD4s Map Pack) to whole new levels (Oblivion's Shivering Isles).

Exclusive DLC is only on one console. Microsoft payed for exclusive GTA DLC on the xbox 360, for example (even though we still don't know what it will be).
