What is Desenzano Italy like?

I'm going there to stay with a host family for 2 weeks. I want to know a little about it before I go.

i went there and I think is a beautiful town, with picturesque streets and many traditional shops. Has a colored town centre. moreover lies in the south of the lake garda and there are many beaches.  you can enjoy several excursions to Sirmione, peschiera and son on... There is a train station and in thirty minutes you can reach Verona. don't miss a day in Gardaland, the greatest theme park of Italy, you will enjoy it a lot and is situated about 20 km from desenzano. I think you will enjoy a stay there, is a beautiful town and you will have many things to do!

Oh, and don't forget to visit Sirmione, the beautiest city on the lake Garda and Salò with Benito Mussolini's villa!!!

Desenzano del Garda is a town and comune in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, Italy, which borders Lake Garda. It is bordered by other communes of Castiglione delle Stiviere, Lonato, Padenghe sul Garda and Sirmione.

The city is a popular holiday destination in Southern Europe.
