What is E.V. Training

Ev training is when you trian your pokemon in a certain stat. Either Atk, Hp, Sp Atk, Def, Sp Def and Speed can be trained as their the Evs.

For example if you have a Typhlosion and you want to train it in Speed you will fight staravia's as they give a speed EV. If you fight 7 Staravia's and yout Typholsion grew a level it should have at least 7 speed Boost and depending whether it has a power item or Pokerus, it can get more speed boost. Although EV training is good sometimes it might not work because your pokemon is too low levelled. If so train your pokemon more and keep trying as it might take time for the EV's to get a massive boost. I trained my Steelix in Def so i battled Gravelers and geodudes. One itme i got plus 20 Def when i grew one level. Rare Candies are good but im not sure if that effects the training. Different pokemon's give different EVs.

Also their are items that have certain effects on your EVs of your pokemon. This are the items:

An easier way to add EVS are Power items(cost 16 bp for each)., which adds 4 extra EVs (ex:Defeating a geodudes gives 5 evs for def). (cost 16 bp for each).

Power weight-Gives 4 extra EVS for HP

Power Bracer-Gives 4 extra EVS for ATTACK

Power Belt- 4 extra EVS for def

Power Lens- 4 extra EVS for Special ATTACK

Power Band- 4 extra EVS for Special def

Power Anklet- 4 extra EVS for speed

Another item is called the "Macho Brace"

it doubles the amount of EVS you get

EV: deafeating a geodude gives you 2 EVS instead of 1EV for def

Vitamins also help for EV training

Hp Up-Increases HP by 10 EVs

Protein- Increases Attack by 10 EVs

Iron- Increases defense by 10 EVs

Carbos- Increases speed by 10 EVs

Calcium- Increases special attack by 10 EVs

Zinc- Increases Special defense by 10 EVs

It is better if you Ev train your pokemon at a high level like lv 50 at the least, so you pokemon can get all the EVs boost possible. Also Pokerus helps your pokmeon get more EVs in the EV itself.
