  1. You should check my favorite website. You will find full information there as to the components of glucose.

  2. Glucose (Glc), a monosaccharide (or simple sugar), is an important carbohydrate in biology. The living cell uses it as a source of energy and metabolic intermediate. Glucose is one of the main products of photosynthesis and starts cellular respiration in both prokaryotes and ekuaryotes. The name comes from the Greek word glykys, meaning "sweet", plus the suffix "-ose" which denotes sugar.

Two steroisomers of the aldohexose sugars are known as glucose, only one of which (D-glucose) is biologically active. This form (D-glucose) is often referred to as dextrose  monohydrate, or, especially in the food industry, simply dextrose (from dextrorotatory glucose [1]). This article deals with the D-form of glucose. The mirror-image of the molecole, L-glucose, cannot be metabolized by the cells biochemical process known as glycolysis.

  3. a type of sugar.

it's interesting that we metabolize several different compounds the same way.

the following page is fairly interesting.

it's too bad they don't show the atomic arrangement of sucrose.

maybe there are several, and they think it's not important.

also, if you look, you'll see how similar sugar is to starch.

    thanks for asking.

  4. Ok. Here’s what I can say :)

    Glucose- a sugar

                      -  found in honey, grapes and sweet fruits

                       -  It is chief source of body energy

    I hope this helps! :)
