What is Harley going to do with the Italian motorcycle company they just bought. Will they begin European production of overweight underpowered, outdated machines with springer front ends, tricycle seats and primer paint jobs ? How do you say Cross Bones in Italian ?

I think Harley are going to make a machine they can race.

They will take the engine and some of the Chassis and suspension parts and build a bike capable of winning something.  I think if they want to market outside the USA they need a sports bike that will compete with the j*p 4, Aprillia, KTM and now BMW. Buying one of the best engines out there is a good start. I'm not a Harley Fan, But the name Harley Davidson is etched into the hearts of any oil blooded human whether they like it or not. I would like to see the Name Harley race alongside Triumph and Maybe find a Norton out there too.  You Never know they may even make a chopper with a real engine in it.

They plan to manufacture HDs, give them a fancy name & skyrocket the price so that certain snobs can ride a REAL bike without the stigma of being called "people". :D

They are going to stun the world by making another poor attempt at a sport bike. They will consult the Itailians then dump thier insight for their own. Then hire some off the path supercharger developer to make their engine turn a few more HP. Then decide well maybe we need to do a full on race bike to compete in Motogp. Hahahahahahahahah.

Hopefully they leave MV alone, I didn't consider that they would make HDs with MV tags, that would be horrendous. A beautiful sportbike gets replaced by an 800 lbs chromed out ancient technology t**d.

I heard they were also buying Victory out and then have Victorys made in Italy at a much cheaper price so trhat Europeans can afford them. I read that Victory has had so many recalls that they can no longer stay afloat

Can you imagine the excitement this is going to generate in Italy?!?!? I mean those people have nothing over there. Except soccer. I feel really sorry for them. I recently went to a soccer game (my nephew plays AYSO) How boring! I mean I nearly fell asleep at the game.  I have heard that the World Cup is very similar to AYSO soccer.

It is good that Italy finally realized the greatness of Halry Davisson and started offering some quality bikes over there. Once they Euros experience the massive power of a Halry between their legs the entire continent will be riding these bikes! It is finally time for great American corporations to take some of the hard earned American dollars we are shipping over there and bring it back the US. I am predicting this move will pull the American economy out of the doldrums!
