It's a beautiful place where it is much safer than in the usa and everyone knows almost everyone. there are fresh fruits considering they grow on trees and I go there EVERY summer because I love it sooo much!!! You should go!

Green, tropical, friendly and sometimes flashy.  They like decorations and food.  They like Americans.

Green, humid, warm all year, espontaneous, noisy city, awful traffic, beatiful beaches, easy smiles, fresh fruits, butterflies, delicious seafood, corrupted politicians, 1 hour time delayed, non perfect but colorful.

What else can you ask for???

I was only there during our invasion in 89'  From what I remember the people were nice (excluding the PDF), quick with a smile.  The jungles were think and triple canopy and there was natural fruits everywhere you looked.  Growing up as a kid in NY I had never seen many of the animals there and was amazed that I was walking through what appeared to be a huge zoo with no fences.  It was an incredible experience.  The water is a wonderful blue and visability was forever.

Cool place!  Beat the h**l out of going to Somalia for a year.
