What is Roehampton University's reputation?

Before it was affiliated with the University of Surrey, it was the Roehampton Institute.

I would say it has a pretty poor reputation. I wouldn't call it a proper university.

Well, it's only actually been an independent university since 2004. Before that it was The University of Surrey Roehampton.

I don't know what that says about it though. And it's below Northampton in The Times Good University Guide. That is surely not a good sign...Northampton has a reputation for being a sh*thole. My sisters friend went to look round and someone who worked there actually told her she could do better. And Roehampton is below it...
