  1. Roman Riding is a style of Horseback Riding, usually performed as entertainment in Rodeos. In Roman Riding, the rider stands atop a pair of horses, with one foot on each horse.


  2. Roman riding is really neat watching if its done correctly. basically a rider will stand on two horses one on each back. The horses have a special pad on to protect their back and to give the rider better cushion. Basically the rider will have to horses move as if they were hitched to a chart but their not.

    It was probably from performing gypsies (Romanies), rather than from Rome.  Gypsy horses are very docile and Roma children learn to ride from a very young age.
