  1. I live in Mandurah, its a nice place...getting very busy now though :(. Depending on what you can afford I would avoid central Mandurah- its the old area..a bit dodgy even though they are trying to knock them all down and build new units it is still not very nice. Halls Head is really nice, close to beaches and its more peaceful than central Mandurah- alot of the traffic bypasses Halls Head.

Secret Harbour is ok- Surfers like it. Theres just bugger all to do there. Massive golf course. Nice quiet area.

I wouldn't suggest Rockingham as a 'nice place to live' there are good spots there and beautiful beaches but its full of di ckheads. . I lived there too- I should know.

Meadow Springs or Lakelands or Madora Bay are all good newly developed places- all surrounding Mandurah....I would go for Lakelands personally because Madora is too expensive as its closer to the beach. Prices in Lakelands are dropping- they have too many new houses going on the market <mainly investors suffering from the interest rate rise> Typical price for a large 4x2 is $400,000

WA is great I love the southwest Donnybrook, Margaret River, Kirup, Pemberton,

    Great Wineries :)

Perth is okay- cities are not really my thing

Fremantle is great- Lots to do and see. easy access to perth via trains. Probably a little on the expensive side- Search for a place called Yangebup- its in between Rocko and Fremantle costal area also known as Beelier.

    Good Luck!

Bunbury is really developing in to quite a busy town.

    Dunsbourough is good to .

  2. I would say Fremantle or Mandurah! Both nice, interesting places close to Perth!!!!

  3. I would recommend Safety Bay and/or Shaolwater as well, they are both on the coast, and both places are not too far from the city, and are beautiful. Mandurah is nice, and is about an hour or so from Perth city, depending on traffic, Ive never been to Secret harbour, but have heard its a lovely area also. You also have Cottesloe, and Scarborough as they are both by the sea too, and are located about 10mins out of Perth. But if you both like to fish, and plan on buying a boat, then the out of town places, like Safety bay and Shaolwater, and also the other 2 places mentioned are better.

  4. Any were north of the river Perth is divide into two North and south of the river I lived in both and south are low economics areas Quinn's Rock is a nice place to live but that's about 30 minutes out of the City Scarborough is good to and a lot closer to the City good luck with the move and hope you enjoy W.A were ever you move to its a Great place to live I can't wait to move back myself
