Can someone just tell me what a highlighter is?

Oh and any products thats a good highlighter?

Highlight is used to define certain parts of your face which you would like to emphasis or show off.  Eg - For cheek bones put a little in an upwards motion on the top of your cheek bones then your blusher below it making sure to blend both in separatly so that they are not extremely noticable and it will give the effect of having high cheek bones.  This applies to all areas of your face.  To make a larger nose appear smaller you put a little blusher on it and so on for the rest of your face.  I hope this helps.

A highlighter is something you put on your check bones or just below your eyebrows to highlight the bone structure on your face, so if youve got fantastic cheek bones you'll put it there to highlight them. Any highlighter will work just make surte you've got a good base makeup so it stays. I use a estee lauder foundation and a £2 bronzer but because Ive got good foundation the bronzer stays put! Just look for a cheap one. You don't need to spend alot. Or go to Boots and see if you can get some testers from the beauty counters, use it for a few days then decide if it works for you.

p.s best way to test your makeup - get testers from beauty counters then wear the makeup when you go out round town if it stays put you know it's worth buying!!

it is used to highlight your cheekbones, brow bones, around the mouth area etc.

A good highlighter is revlon skinlights- it comes in a pink shade and a bronze shade- i love it.

You can search on youtube for some good videos on how to use a highlighter properly, also there are a few articles on google about highlighters etc.

Also you can slim quite a wide nose down with them, dab a bit on your fingers then run down the middle of your nose, then but around the nose a darker concealer. finish of with translucent powder.

A highlighter allows you to go over a word with it and still be able to see what the word says. These are mainly used for coursework etc, to help with essays. For examples they can be used as notes and important quotes from the text.

A highlighter is a light white/skin coloured eyeshadow that you apply just under the brow to accentuate the colour on your eyelids.

It is used to blend out the eyelid colour up to the brow, to get rid of any harsh lines of the eyelid colour.

Any skin-shade of eyeshadow can be used as a higlighter, MAC have excellent shades which do not smudge or imprint and last a long time.

A highliter is a marker that brightens up a word the color over it with the marker. you usually use it when the word is imprtant, or if the information you want to highlight is imprtant info.  but ya its basicly a bright colored marker , and the best is Sharpie

It makes your good feautures and and bone structure stand out. You can apply it on the corners of your eyes, brow bones, cheekbones, practically anywhere. Its the light coloured eyeshadow you use you on your upper eye to emphasise the darker colour you use. You could use a pale white as your highlighter and then a darker silver or grey for your main colour.

EDIT: And the person who answered above, this question is in the Makeup category, so I'm hoping this question is about highlighter eyeshadow rather than highlighter pen.

It is applyed to you cheekbones and nose bone to bring out the ''highlights''

it is a shimmer thing.

Go to boots or something and ask about one, they will apply it to your face and show you what it does! (=
