It just a big hug pillow on top of the mattress to give you more comfort.

it is an extra layer looks like a pillow is on top of the mattress..unless its a double pillow top meaning on top and bottom...dont buy it..you wont be able to flip the mattress over..and they will wear even if you just switch it from top to bottom.....

Also known as a Euro top mattress...makes it sound exotic..still a pain as the previous answer said. You can't flip them to extend the life of the mattress as you are supposed to do.

I use two doonas laid on my mattress then put a blanket then a sheet and it works just as well, and is wonderfully comfy! Not to mention cheaper!!!
