What is a Starbucks partner card?

I have never heard of these until today but don't understand what they are....

It's a card for people that work there. They use it to get a discount when purchasing stuff. The employees are called "partners".

It's something new for Customer's.  You will receive points which will get you free drinks, coupons, etc.  You MUST activate your card online or over the phone though.

the people that work there get partner cards. it's like an employee discount card.

Yeah, I work there. It's basically the employee ID/Discount card. You use the number on it to punch in/out and access the employee website, as well as receive the employee discount in stores.
