What is a float buoy

I know is refering to a job. But don't really know waht type of job is that?

I think it refers to a toilet plumbing job. The float is that object in the toilet tank that rises when water is pumped back into the tank after a flush. When it rises to a set position, it stops the water from overfilling the tank.

Isn't that to do with fishing,the float that you watch to see when a fish takes a bite.
