Like the ones they have at high schools.

  1. Usually it's a scrimmage or exhibition game with more than two teams present, but only two teams play at a time.  I've seen three different formats

    1) There is an even number of teams and each one plays one other.

    2) There are three teams and they play round-robin.

    3) There are many teams and they are divided like "North vs. South" and each team from one side plays one from the other but only for a quarter.


  2. Depending on the area you are in, I have heard it called several different things.  Carnival, Jamboree, etc.  It is simply a series of mini practice games against multiple opponents prior to a season.  Youth football and high schools are where you normally would find such an event.
