My local newspaper is selling their photographers photos and one of the options when buying is "gallery print" in various lengths.

  1. Gallery Print is usually a much larger (or longer) version of a photo.  Kind of like when you get a panoramic photo.  They're good sizes to put on display and be seen clearly, hence the term "gallery" print.  


  2. A gallery print generally refers to a print that has been archivally processed and printed.

    It should be signed by the artist.

    It should be perfectly printed with no blems or defects.

    The newspaper might be using different standards, and it would be wise to inquire as to what you are getting when purchasing a "gallery print" from them.
