  1. As you can see from the other answers you've gotten, there are tons of active games you can play inside if you have a bit of imagination....however, for a bit of sillyness, especially when you have a few minutes to kill between other activities, I came up wth the "Stand up, sit down" game.  It's usually best if you have another teacher helping you, kind of tag team comedy style.  One teacher asks all the kids to sit, then the other teacher says, "Why are all the kids sitting? I thought they were supposed to stand for this game!"  Then the first teacher goes "Oh, that's right, everyone stand up"....then the second teacher goes, "Oh no, you were right, everyone should sit."  Then the first teacher decides they should stand.....etc......you can make it more challenging by having them stand on one leg, or sit on a certain color, etc.....it's basically "Simon Says" without saying "Simon Says."  It's also a good listening skill activity.

  2. Paper Hop.  Put 2 pieces of construction paper on the floor close together and have them jump from one to the other.  After all kids try, move the papers a little further apart and go again.  Keep going until no kid is successful.

You can use construction paper to do indoor hopscotch too.  Write the numbers on the paper, or different shapes or colors depending on preschoolers abilities.

    Good luck!

  3. Indoor hopscotch, jumprope, sing songs,  clean up their areas.

  4. Go to www.kubit2me.com and check out the Lil Scholars edition. A great way to have fun and have kids learn at the same time. Many cute games included in the ihstructions. It is my kids favorite preschool game.

  5. Well a good activity could be art & crafts you could also play musical dance chairs or you could pl;ay a board game with them or heads up 7 up...

  6. Some jumping jacks.  Then do some other exercises that gradually slow down to stretches and end with a few moments of quiet visualization - Like a yoga centering.

It will release the excess energy then relax them back down to work.
