I really would like to loose 30 lbs, yeah I am about that much over weight, and its not in my head. I would just like to hear how some of you changed your life habits (eating and what not) that helped you loose weight and keep it off.

  1. I ate so much after I had my baby, I could not stop eating! I snacked all day long. I had no will power! One day I said a prayer for the will power to stay away from junk. I wanted to be a healthier person. I began to read about how important a healthy diet is, and decided to stop buying junk food and start buying fruits and vegetables. I began eating a one egg omelet full of asparagus and tomatoes for breakfast. For lunch I usually have a tomato sandwich, or chicken breast and a baby spinach salad. For dinner I eat a healthy veggie pizza, or chicken breast, fish with veggies. I cut out soda completely. I drink water or v.8. I eat a lot of fresh fruit. and I cut out sweets. I eat a lot of garlic, and drink green tea every day. In 2 months I've lost 20 pounds, and feel much better! Hope this helps.

  2. when i lost weight the healthy way...i cut out ALL junk food! i ate complex carbs (100% whole wheat breads and bread products, whole-wheat pasta, brown rice, oatmeal, and high fiber cereal i like kashi golean), lean meats (chicken, turkey and lean cuts of beef), non-fat/low-fat dairy (skim or 1% milk, cheese, yogurt), beans, fruits, veggies, and mono- and poly- unsaturated fats (nuts, nut butters, fish, avocados, olive/canola oils). i also started to weight train 3x a week, and drinking whey shakes after, i do Pilate's and high intensity interval training 4x a week on the same days. don't do Pilate's and weights the same day though. i also drank water and cut out any and all soft drinks. after changing my eating habits i find i hardly crave junk foood now.

  3. i lsot 118 pounds and the only reasone i did becouase he doctor told me too but my life is a little diffrent i dont look as fat as i use to and ive been hit on but i really haveing changed my eating habits i just count calories

  4. I have only had 8kg to loose (sorry, not sure what that is in pounds) But it was about one dress size.

Because I didn't have to loose much, I just used weight watchers online (points system). It is fantastic. Here are a few great things about it:

**You can 'budget' your points if you know you have a big event coming up on the weekend.

**You can even afford to have a little treat every day (within reason of course).

**It has really good online tools such as recipe builder (where you enter in all your ingredients and it tells you how many points there is per serving), point calculator (calculate points based on dietry information printed on the pack) and you can search for almost any type of food.

**I found it easy to fit the meals in with my partner's meals so we weren't cooking two seperate meals.

**Some people have commented that it is not a diet, it is a change in lifestyle.

**It gives you a greater appreciation for the portion sizes you should be eating.

I go back on the diet every now and then to maintain. Once I decide to go on it, it is pretty easy to stick to (i am hopeless at dieting on my own) I was surprised at how well I did. I was consistently losing 1kg a week (with no exercise).

    All the best

  5. Avoiding red meats, sodas. Also drinking 6 glasses of water every day and walking 30 minutes around in the park really worked for me 100%. I lost 11 pound in a month.Try it doesn't cost any money.Maybe it can work for you.Good luck and don't give up.

  6. Hey

I use the burn the fat feed the muscle program and it worked for me.  I didn't have much to lose but lost 25lbs anyways without losing muscle.
