What is a good video camera?

Me and my friends film and prduce videos onto youtube, but we only have one camera, which means we have to drive twenty minutes to get to his house. what is a good video camera for also a good price? and is compatible to macs?

I have a MacBook and the Canon FS11 works great with iMovie '08! Canon FS11/FS100/FS10 are very compatible with Macs.

FS11:

-$600

-16GB built-in flash memory

-SD card slot so you can expand storage

FS10:

-$500

-8GB built-in flash memory

-SD card slot so you can expand storage

FS10:

-$400

-No built-in memory so you have to buy an SD card for it

All these camcorder models have 48x zoom and can have at least 3 hours of battery life, even while recording in the highest quality. I have the FS11 and it records approx. 3 hours and 40 minutes of high-quality video. Honestly, the stills are not that good, but overall this camera is a BEST BUY. I compared this to other Sony and Panasonic camcorders and they either had bad video quality or horrible sound quality. All three models are also exactly the same except for their storage capacities.

If you want a good value on these, get an FS100 and a 4GB SD card and you have about 3 hours of battery life, an hour of good quality recording and about $450 total.
