  1. a chord is  practicly a note like chord a chord fmaj7 or chord Am for crying out loud!

  2. A chord is two or more different notes combined together and played at once. Major chords (G, C, F, etc) produce a happy sound while minor chords (Am, Dm, Em, etc) are sad. Both groups of chords combine only three different notes.

Barre chords are chords that use your index finger to "barre" all six strings or a certain number of strings at the same time. Your middle, ring, and pinky form the chord. Barre chords require less memorizing, more versatility, and more control than regular chords. But even with these benefits, you need to learn both sets of chords.

  3. lol I guess you're just starting out(to which I say congratulations, and stick with it =]).

A chord is what happens when you hold down multiple frets and strum multiple strings at the same time. Producing (usually...) musical bliss.

    Hope that helps!
