  1. A pawn shop is a place you can go to PAWN (sell) your belongings. You can go also go there to purchase items other people have already pawned. Pawn shops make money by buying your item at a low price and selling it much higher. For this reason, it is generally frequented by less than reputable characters looking to make a quick buck.

  2. a common place you go to pawn / exchange stuff legally, say some Gold in return for cash...the gold would not be returned until the full amount of the cash plus the interests are paid.

THis is where people used to go for fast cash before banking corporations came about..

  3. A pawn shop is a store that offers money, usually a fraction of the value, for a variety of different items. Such stores have existed as far back as Ancient Greece, with differing rules for how they operate. Normally a person pawns an item at a pawn shop and then has a month or two to redeem the item by paying back the money owed. There is usually an additional charge or pawn shop fee that must be paid prior to getting the item back.

  4. you go there and sell your personal things to the owners and see how much they will pay you for it, then they sell it to other people out of there shop.

  5. I think it is a shop in which you trade stuff. I think it something they do in the hood. I saw it on the Fresh Prince

  6. A pawnshop is where one would go to sell any item they might have for a few extra bucks (sometimes done in desperation) lol!

So a pawnshop buys and sells used goods that others have sold and might be a good place to find something (rare maybe) for cheap.
