  1. If memory serves me correctly, IB programs were formed in order to  "standardize" educational programs for students of military personnel as they move around constantly and could receive hit/miss education. Their diploma, therefore, would be recognized anywhere. They have a rigorous educational program and very high standards. In order to achieve this status, you must select a high school that offers this program.  Additionally, you must be accepted into the program, they usually have pretty steep entry guidelines.  Hope you have good grades. As the US is seen as having a less than adequate educational programs by many countries, this program is recognized globally. The Diploma Programme for students aged 16 to 19 is a demanding two-year curriculum leading to final examinations and a qualification that is welcomed by leading universities around the world. They have a website at: http://www.ibo.org/. Do a Google search if you're interested in more info! Good luck!
