  1. Maybe exempt from sales tax?


  2. Assuming you are the purchaser and the seller is asking you this, you would have a certificate of your exemption. Only very specific organizations can qualify (non-profits, gov't agencies, etc.). Then when they make purchases they aren't required to pay sales tax. For the rest of us, we have to just pay it.
