a YZ 125 or a YZ250F?

the yz 250 f has more torque and power, but the yz 125 is pipeier...LOL

both bike have thier good points and bad points, and in the hands of a skilled rider, both can beat the other....

as far as just an all out drag race, the yz 250f would win....

a yz125 is faster off the line, but the yz250f will beat the yz125 in a long run. you have a better chance of getting the whole shot on the yz125.

its all in the rider... i know people who ride harder on a 125 than the people on the 250s and they just go more wide open all over the place but over all the 250 is faster

Does it really matter which is quicker?

Its down to the track and the riders on the bikes.

On a similar situation there was kid on RS250 Aprillia track bike, who used to make bets at Cadwell Park (Race Track in the UK) that he could lap anybody on any road bike in less then 20laps of the circuit. He never lost!

Thus saying the 125 could be quicker then the 250.

.................. but probably not.

Top speed the YZ250F.

Faster around the track depends on the track. Certain tracks favor a two stroke others a four. If where you ride you need fast snap a two stroke will be faster, however if you can carry more speed into a corner the four will quicker.
