Half the people will tell you skiing, and half the people will tell you snowboarding.

In the first week skiing is much easier.  After that first week it's easier to progress on a board.

Learning to ski before you board won't make it easier, so don't ski first because you think you have to or should.  If you're more interested in one then do that!

Take a lesson, dress in good waterproof clothing & have a blast!

From my experience, downhill skiing is easier but has a longer learning curve, while snowboarding is harder at first, but has a faster learning curve.

I found snowboarding way harder to learn.  Just learning how to control the board is a major feat at first.

With skiing, I was rocking blue runs by the end of my first day.  But I think that's mostly because I learned how to snowboard first.

Skiing is easier to pick up, though.
