My wife has an odd hobby, lets see if you can figure it out. She takes apart baby dolls, stabs them repeatedly in the head with a jagged needle, fills them with glass and gooey stuff, and cooks them in the oven.

Sounds like reborn dolls to me. I think it's weird too, but they have quite a loyal following.
