my aunt brought us(my family) to laoag city, ilocos norte(northernmost province of the philippines) we arrived there, but i got sick, the whole stay in there, i got cold, then sore throat, fever then cough...on the second day i was still sick, and i already missed manila, my house, my grandmother's scolding, my non biological brother and the city noise...i wanted to go home badly..the third day, still sick, we went to ilocos sur(just south of ilocos norte),then that night i felt that we shouldnt have gone back to ilocos norte, we should have went directly to manila...then 7pm we went to the airport to go back to manila, then when we arrived, i was so happy that were back in manila..but actually i liked going to the provinces, but i dont know why i felt that way...

  1. It's a psychological thing.  It will make you stronger to go through it.  Psychologocal things effect your body.....always.

  2. Homesickness is when you're not literally sick as you were, like with a fever and sore throat.

It is when you are healthy (no fever, cough, etc.) but you miss your home and family. Lots of people, especially younger people experience this.

I think what you have experienced is just an unfortunate bout of sickness during a vacation.

Usually, when poeple get sick, no matter how old they are, they just want to be in their own home with their family.

I believe that is what you have experienced.

Sorry you were sick on your trip!
