Please tell me all the info you can about imperialism! I need to write an essay and need a basis to start from! PLEASE HELP!! thanx!

by the way- it has to do with imperialism in Africa if that means anything!

  1. Imperialism has two meanings, one describing an action and the other describing an attitude. Most commonly it is understood in relation to Empire building, as the forceful extension of a nation's authority by territorial conquest establishing economic and political domination of other nations. In its second meaning the term describes the imperialistic attitude of superiority, subordination and dominion over foreign peoples.


  2. Imperialism is when a country ruled by a monarch, such as the Emperor of Japan during WWII and before then, takes over other countries, like Japan took over China and Korea and other Asian countries.
