  1. You can be custom fitted for your clubs to ensure the lofts are accurate for optimum performance.  You can get it done on line or at your local pro shop.

  2. If you are referring to clubs it is several things. The proper shaft length and stiffness, also proper seating of the club heads so they sit properly on the ground( or when you actually hit the ball). Also the proper head angle on your driver for the right loft to fit your swing. There may be more but that's all I know

  3. I suppose you mean 'custom-fitted' golf equipment. If that is so, it's just like going to the tailor for your new shirts/trousers, as opposed to getting ready made ones from the departmental stores.

Similarly, you can buy clubs that fit your physical size requirements, like your grip size, height, body height to weight ratio, age, gender, etc. The golf equipment pro can then provide the solution for you based on your physical attributes above, after analyzing your golf swing profile in detail. He could then recommend the most appropriate club type for you.

  4. Refreshe,

Getting fitted means that you go to a custom clubmaker and they fit the clubs to you and your swing.

They usually start off by asking questions about your game, then ask about your swing, if you tend to slice the ball or draw it. Then they should get a swing speed on you to make the correct shaft flex recommendation. After that they should measure you from the first crease in your wrist to the floor, for proper club length. They should also get a measurement of you hand so as to make the proper grip size.

After doing all that, they should then make recommendations as to what type of clubs would be best for you. What type of shafts, flex, and grips.

After the clubs are built the fitter should have you hit off of a lie board. It is a board that you hit a ball off of with a piece of tape on the bottom of your clubs, that will tell the fitter if the club needs to be bent for lie angle.

This is what every pro goes through before playing a new set of clubs. It makes sure the clubs you are playing are made for your game and your swing.

    Hope this helps,
