Your link isn't working.  Without looking at the pic, is it a young tree or a mature tree?  Is the soil properly acidic?

Do you see signs of insect infestation?

If it is a young tree are animals peeing on it?

  2. In Georgia and the south its called Southern pine beetle and is a real problem. It is really taking a toll on the lumber industry here in the south. It took out 2 huge ones in my yard. They will drop alot of green needles which should tell you to look upward. Well all looks OK so you go get a rake and a beer.

They go pretty quick................ What to look for : Many small holes in the bark that ooze sap. All around the tree and up and down. About the size of a pencil but its the sap that is the give away. You ain't gonna save it. Save the others by removing it and getting the wood off your property. The beetles are still in there and will just move to another if left alone.

    Southern pine beetle....................

  3. Quickest way is give it a bath of soapy water from under your sink soap..........usually if you look under the branches you will see a little spider mite or light green or black tiny tiny bugs...give them the runs just like you with a little soap water...sometimes the wife and I do it right after washing dishes.........just climb up a step ladder and dump all over the tree...........and they will be gone shortly...........I leave no toilet paper for them:)
