What is menopause like?

I am young and wondering about menopause and when does it come? I think my mom is starting that phase? What is that all about?

It comes when your body is ready to develop a baby.

Hahaa, seems like she's having the 'talk'. Don't worry, EVERYONE goes through it.

First I will try to explain it. Then google it to get fuller answer. It is when a woman's body begins to stop producing hormones. The results of this vary from woman to woman. In my case: night sweats, hot flushes, period pains but no period and at odd times and mood swings etc etc etc. If this period of life is very difficult for a woman (it was for me) a Doc can prescribe a pill for it to ease the symptoms until the menopause is over. (it can take around 7 yrs or so, give or take either way, for this cycle of changes to be complete.)
