What is packet data?

In my cell phone,when I try to open yahoo go it asks me to allow network access.I press OK and then it says subscribe to packet data first.What should I do? I have a Nokia 3110 and GPRS and internet.

Contact your service provider, for example airtel, spice, vodafone to activate internet on your connection. they would charge between rs 100 for a month. when internet has been activated, you can open yahoo, for further questions contact me at [e-mail]

JUST INSTALL THE SETTING OF GPRS(YOU CAN GET IT BY CALLING CUSTOMER CARE & ASK HIM TO SEND GPRS SETTING(WITH ACESS POINT SETTING) IN YOUR MOBILE NO.)

Packet Data is mobile internet. Without a data plan, if you use it it is very expensive.
