What is "The Mummy" like?

Question

I'm so bored and the movie is coming on telly in like ten minutes, I've never seen it before. I want to watch it but the preview looks scary.

What would you give it out of ten on how good it is, and on another 1-10 on how scary it is. Thanks guys!

well its an awesome movie.. i mean "mummy" movies are normally crony but this ones action packed.. and did i mention awesome.. out of ten i wud personally rate it 8/10

u shud see the 2nd and third movies asweel .. and aswell as the scorpian King

The original "Mummy" movie was very action packed, but I didn't really find it scary...this was one of my son, then 7-8 years old, favorite movies when he was younger because he like the action (but we always fast forward through the first 5 mins because it does have a half naked lady in it).  Skip the first 5 mins and it is a great action flick on par with any "Indiana Jones" movie.  I would rate it about an 8.5 overall.

It is based in like 1920's-1930's and Brendan Fraiser is the swashbuckling hero and Rachel Weiss as the bumbling, clutsy but smart librarian/historian is his love interest with her equally bumbling brother as Fraiser's sidekick vs. the unforseen supernatural force of the Mummy.
