  1. I don't have one. Other people's labels are not of interest to me.

    Regards. UK

  2. social class is where you sand in society. for example, are you in the celebrity social class and hang out with donald trump and hold parties for only the a- listers who star in big films? or are you in that average social class where you work in a store for the money you need to live? or that snooty social class where all of your friends have fancy cars and dont lift a finger at home because they have a house keeper and nanny and their husband does the work at a high end cooperate office? from my sociology class a couple years ago, thats what I got out of what social class meant.

  3. In a nutshell, it's unlikely that a labourer is going to be invited to a party at Paris Hilton's home. We basically associate with people who are like us; they have a similar type of work, similar income, church affiliation, level of education and so on. Even though we don't have a caste system such as India where members of another caste can't even walk on the same side of the street, North Americans have their own version of a caste system. Labourers don't like professionals and vice versa. Yet, at various times they need one another. A labourer may need to see a lawyer about a divorce, and the lawyer might need a plumber to fix his drain. Since labourers don't earn what lawyers earn, obviously they can't afford to live in the same neighbourhoods.

    It's always been this way.

  4. something dwelling in peoples mind.

we are all borne equal, but due to economic, geographic, ability to access education, and other factors, social barriers are created.
