  1. Sustainable means enduring or to continue what is done. So Sustainable farming is alternate farming methods adopted which least injury to nature. Here we do not provide food to plant directly. But provide food to soil by organic manuring and good cultural practices so that soil in turn will be healthy and feed the plant. There are different methods like Natural farming, Biodynamic Agriculture (Rudof steiner), Effective micro organisms, No tillage farming etc.

  2. Sustainable farming is when a farmer takes a lot of time trying to make sure that his crops don't exhaust or do harm to the rest of the enviroment. For instance, when farming, a lot of people try not to use any tools that emit chemicals into the air to contribute to global warming.

  3. Ensuring that farming activities can be "sustained" from one crop yield to the next, in other words farming in a way that doesn't make the land useless after the harvest so it can be farmed again next season.
