What is the Montreal airport like??

I have to change planes on an upcoming flight in Montreal, and everyone I tell this to goes "OH NO!!- You should've gone somewhere else!!" Does anyone know why this is? What's so bad about it and does anyone have any tips?

I have no idea why your friends say that. I've traveled in and out of Montreal's Trudeau airport a bunch of times. It was completely fine!

I fly through Montreal all the time.  There really isn't anything wrong with it, and as far as layovers go, there is plenty to do while waiting for your next flight.
