well they are always the classics--dog/cat. they are sweet and cute and loving...if you want a smaller pet thats kinda like a dog totally get a ferret. in the rodent department the winner is a guinea pig, hands down! reptiles are cool, get a leopard gecko they get really tame and i have only been nipped once, on the night i got her. as for birdies parakeets make really cool pets that you can hand-tame so they will just hop up onto your finger....

OVERALL, I WOULD SAY A *FERRET* OR A *GUINEA PIGGLES* LOL

depends on your personality and your way of living,

for example, if you are very busy every day,

don't get a dog! they need to much care and attention

so you should get some fish, i would say they need much less attention and care.

perhaps you want something furry, but dogs and cats are too big, get some rodents, ex. mice, hamsters, ferrets

or if you have allergies, perhaps reptiles, ant farms, birds etc.

it depends on your personal choice

but don't get something that you have no time for,

never abuse an animal, they are a life

definitely a dog if you have the time and space. my reasoning is that it doesn't matter if you are gone 2 minutes or 2 weeks they are just as happy to see you when you get home. if you dont have alot of free time then a cat since you just nd to make sure they have food and water and they ntake care of themselves from there.
