  1. The national currency is the Ringgit Malaysia or RM. The currency is denominated into 1000, 500, 100, 50, 10, 5, 2 and 1 RM notes. Coins include 1 RM, 50 cents, 20 cents, 10 cents, 5 cents and 1 cent.

  2. Ringgit Malaysia.

  3. Its pegged ever since the last asian economic crisis that almost sent the malaysian ringgit into the dustbin.  So you won't know exactly whether the currency of malaysia is worth anything until the currency peg is removed.

My guess is, once its opened, its probably around 10 Ringgit to 1 US Dollar.  Throw in the political scandals, and its probably 15 to 1.
