What is the effect of trespassing?

my friends parents were talking in the garage and a group of teens were trespassing on their property LISTENING to the converstation. The cops were called but the teens got away. They are very sure it is a family across the streets kids. If they confess can they be charged and what would be the charges?

its intrusion of privacy not really tresspassing if they are on a driveway

i don't think they can really get charged that much if they were at a place where its fenced off or something then its also tresspassing and they can get done for that

Trespassing.  A misdemeanor with a fine and probation.  Not really worth calling the cops.  Just contact the teens parents and let them know you know.  Ask them to speak with their teens about this violation.
