  1. Most of the pros track every shot they play so it's that and yardage. It looks a lot like an overhead view of the hole and on it they track the times they played it and the outcome and try to repeat it or change it. It's a lot better than trying to remember 70+ shots per day four to six days in a row. The notepads are available at a lot of club proshops of higher end courses around your area. Just ask when you pay your greens fees.

  2. yardage charts.  showing pin positions, ranges from various spots on the fairway (such as a bunker) to the middle of the green, and shows where hazards are that you may not be able to see from the tee

  3. instructions on how to hit a golf ball

  4. Caddies take notes for golfers. They will record distance to hole from where their players first ball lands. They will also note where the hole is located each day. they will measure how much room their golfer has from rough or sand or water. around the green. They will know exactly how far a club their golfer can hit the ball. For example a nine iron may go 130 yds. down hill or only 90 yds uphill. Hope this helps you.

  5. The note pad is just that. It is a schematic of the hole, showing the hazards, the proper lay up positions, the yardage to the center of the green,  how the green breaks, plateaus and valleys. Today's pin sheet shows the day's location. Then the caddy can determine the exact yardage from the known yardages of various markers plus or minus yards for pin positions.
